The first "University Cup" Dalian Elite Alumni Regatta was successfully held in Xingwan Yacht Club on September 25, 2021. This competition was initiated by Peking University Dalian Alumni Association, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University and other 8 alumni associations actively responded. The slogan of the event is "Lift the sails to help rejuvenate Dalian". Dalian Chuanyang International Trade Co., Ltd. sponsored the competition.

The participating alumni are from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Xiamen University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Liaoning University and Jilin University. Sixteen teams of 32 elite alumni competed.

After more than 3 hours of fierce competition, the Peking University alumni sailing team won the champion and the second place, and the Huazhong University of Science and Technology alumni sailing team won the third place.

After the race, the organizers held a grand award dinner at the Holiday Inn Xinghai and presented sponsorship certificates to the sponsors of the event.
